Renovation of Concordia’s Home

A big thank you to our donors for helping to renovate the termite-damaged ceiling in the children’s sleeping room. God is amazing. He moved our donors to fund the renovation of our ceiling and save our babies and their caregivers from risk of a collapse. Now, our babies can sleep safely after the restoration of our newly installed termite proof ceiling.

Last quarter, other parts of the home were also renovated. God sent more donors to make this possible. Our reception area now has a Scandinavian interior design. The design appeals with simplicity and functionality. It is filled with light natural colors, de-cluttered spaces and the use of natural light has been maximized. The design provides a feeling of warmth not only for our children and staff but also to all our visitors.

The nursing area has also been remodeled and is now more functional. It has more space to attend to the medical needs of children. It’slocated in a safe area accessible to the nurse and caregivers. Good lighting has also been provided over the sink and work area. Our nursing station and office space have now been divided to ensure work efficiency and privacy.

The newly renovated isolation room now has more space complete with a functional crib and bed for a child with an airborne infection. The added space provides a more comfortable environment for children that are being treated.

Lastly, we disposed of termite-infected cabinets, repaired cracks in the ceiling, and repainted our fading paint in our resource center. We were able to restore our center and make it more functional especially for computer and reading work.
