Concordia Family is honored to have been nominated for the “Most Number of Children Issued with CDCLAA” award and we congratulate our dear Adoption Social worker, Sir Rovheen Bandola, on his award as the best adoption social worker of 2022 by the Department of Social Welfare Services (DSWD).
Being an adoption social worker can mean many things. To some, it would mean many nights of frustration, surrounded by challenges. With so little time, the children grew up fast but the process of helping them is long. The responsibility is great, and failures might take. But with love, courage, and endurance, all of it is worth it when you see a child in a family. Sir Rovheen has been the epitome of what it means to be a social worker through his work. He first started working for the agency as a fundraiser and transitioned to adoption services after 6 months. There, he was tasked with helping in the supervision of the residential program and finding permanent homes for orphaned children. Even with only a year on the job, Sir Rovheen has grasped the ins and outs of the adoption procedure and is now able to effectively manage the care of the orphaned children. He has also been the kind of dedicated worker that any orphaned child would want advocating for them. Despite the ongoing pandemic, persisted in his efforts to arrange children for adoption, and not long after, two children found permanent homes, and many more are already lined up for matching thanks to his efforts.
He has become a beloved and invaluable member of the Concordia family. Among the children, he is widely loved because of his boundless love and dedication to their welfare. While his work ethic and leadership skills inspired the rest of the team. Concordia is forever thankful and wishes him all the best! #sharelovefulfilldreams
