A Bright Future Awaits: Ryzeneth’s Story
Ryzeneth, 7 years old and in Grade 2, is one of 26 newly recruited CCS unban poor sponsored children. She is a middle child with 5 siblings. Her family, at present, lives on the rooftop of a 3 level apartment in Sta. Mesa, Manila, Philippines. With permission, they built a small house made from scraps of wood, and a patched used tarp. The family has been there for 10 years. Ryzeneth tells us that her humble house does not hinder her high motivation to study and pursue her dream.
She became eligible for the CCS Sponsorship Program because of her family’s low income, eagerness to study and outstanding academic performance in school. Her father works as a merchandiser in a small store while her mother works as a laundress. With their poor economic situation, the family tends to collect garbage for sale in a junkshop.
She is enthusiastic and loves to study. She aspires to become a doctor someday. Ryzeneth will achieve her education and a bright future because she found a sponsor in Concordia. Like Ryzeneth, we appeal to find more sponsors to support the educational needs of all our children.
